A Matter of Taste

Evans, Henry

(Based on 1 review)
The performer displays 5 different bottled beverages. He explains that one of the brands has hired him to advertise their drink because he discovered a method which makes someone prefer it. A spectator is then blindfolded with a silk, the magician lifts one of the bottles, Sprite for example and lets the rest of the audience know this is the preferred drink. Another spectator then silently chooses one of the other drinks, let's say Coca Cola, and this beverage is poured into a glass which is handed to the blindfolded participant. They will swear that it tastes like Sprite! The same drink is even handed out to other spectator's to taste and it's most definitely Coke.
Comes with the necessary secret gimmicks and detailed instructions.

Great idea. Bad advertising. Even worse gimmicks. I was actually looking forward to performing this one as a demo until I realized the secret stuff supplied was actually a very big rip off. I can't tell you what it is, but if you wanna do this trick, and I think you do, you are gonna hafta improvise. It;s nothing a trip to a grocery store won't fix thankfully.

If you want a powerful piece of magic that will mess with the heads of people, this is actually not too bad for the money. You are buying the secret, and it really is a stage routine as far as presentation goes. If you are looking for something that's different and not just another card trick, this is a good way to go.

Again I warn you, if the enclosed gimmick is as bad as the ones we got, you will have to improvise, but not too much.
