I had one of these, back when I was in college. Didn't do much with it, and was more enthralled at the time with more complex mysteries involving making paper matches stand upright under mouth down drinking glassess-which I still like doing-but, I keep rediscovering tricks like this. Inexpensive, yet open to additional handlings beyond the instructions. This trick is put out by different manufacturers, and anyone's version will do the job. What happens is eye popping, and so smoothly deceptive-and pretty easy to perform. The transitions are well worth savoring, and enhancing with pauses, and gestures. There's a fine demo of this trick on Fab Magic's website- performed so smoothly by an experienced pro. This trick fits easily in the pocket, and I picked one up for some restaurant work coming up. Two dollars well spent in my opinion-or, as one old Tannen's ad once said, 'you'll love practicing this one in the mirror'! Indeed-even when you know how it works, it's still alot of fun to see.
