Hopping Halves

(Based on 3 reviews)
You show your spectators two coins in your hand, a copper English Penny and a silver Half Dollar. You stress to your spectator that this is a "two coin trick." With no funny moves you remove the Half Dollar from your hand and clearly put it into your pocket. You ask your spectators, "What does that leave in my hand?". They respond confidently, "The copper Penny". You open your hand to reveal both the copper Penny and the Half Dollar!

Going back to your original position as if to repeat the effect, you remind the spectator that this is a "two coin trick" and clearly remove the copper Penny from your hand, putting it visibly into your pocket. You ask your spectators, "Now, what does that leave in my hand"? This time they answer, "The Half Dollar." You open your hand to reveal both coins.

Back in your original position, you remind your spectators that this is a "two coin trick" (as if to say "watch carefully"). You repeat the now familiar procedure, this time removing the Half Dollar from your hand and placing it in your pocket. You repeat your question, "What does this leave in my hand?" Having watched extremely closely this time, your spectators answer "the copper Penny." You open your hand to reveal both coins.

You go back to your original position and remove the copper Penny (this time even more slowly and carefully). By now the spectators are catching on (and in spite of what their eyes tell them) announce that you have two coins still in your hand. You slowly open your hand to reveal that it is empty.

Great coin magic without any sleights of hand, what more can you ask for. You don't even have to give them anything to examine at the end!

One of the best coin tricks around!
No sleights required but will make you look like a slieght of hand expert.
Various versions available using different coins but basically the same trick.
