A great trick for learning just how bold a magician can be in making a move, and how powerful a bit of misdirection really is.
The prop quality is good. The video instruction is good, with a couple of alternate presentations if you don't want to use the word "bomb." A little more time spent explaining and demonstrating the clean-up step would have been beneficial, but replaying that part of the video several times does make it clear.
This was better than expected. Really a fun trick to perform!

Overview
Dice Bomb is another release by Apprentice Magic which is geared towards the beginning magician. All the tricks in this series are simple, classic magic tricks that many experienced magicians have long been acquainted with. Once manufactured in brass and exotic woods, these classics are more seen nowadays in the plastic versions like the one offered here. Despite the materials the trick is made of, the effect is the same. The effect relies more on the presentation than the object, and that’s where the magic lies.Effect
The original effect is attributed to Hiroshi Sawa. Dice Bomb is an unusual effect where a large die is sitting in a cylindrical capsule with a black cap. The performer explains that it is a dice bomb and it can be dangerous. They don’t know what a dice bomb is? He shakes the cylinder and the large die now explodes into eight tiny dice.Method
Naturally the prop does all the work for you, which leaves you nothing but to focus on the delivery. Unless you know the secret behind the method, it is extremely hard to re-engineer. Don’t be fooled by the low cost of this product, it works just as good as the ones made out of more expensive materials.Product Quality
The props are made of plastic but that shouldn’t deter someone from giving this a go. The “trick” is the ability to weave a good tale. In other cheap versions of this trick you would probably get typed instructions on a miniscule piece of paper that you may be able to understand. This tricks is a classic and I have had a Tenyo version of this trick for years.
