Floating Kung Fu Cap FKFC

Magic Apple; Peter Morse

Magic Apple

(Based on 1 review)
The ultimate floating bottle cap with a KILLER Karate Finish!

Imagine taking a bottle cap, making it float it in the air, stabbing your finger through the cap while it's still in midair, and ending completely clean. Imagine no more, because the Magic Apple's FKFC is here to stay! Perform this with or without a jacket! Comes complete with caps and ALL the materials needed to perform! It can be performed surrounded!

Over 4 different methods! Easy to do! No Sleight of Hand! Includes methods which range from advanced to no sleight of hand.

Can be done with or without a jacket, and can even be done naked! (Although we don't recommend the last part.)

This is situational magic at its finest.

For 20 bucks . . . you get a visually cool effect that comes with everything you need complete with poorly produced instructions.

First, this should have been a DVD. Much of the intricacies involved in the method would have been much clearer had they been taught through a visual medium such as video. Or at the very least some clearer pictures. The photos used to teach the effect are not very close up, not very clear and in many cases totally useless. You can't see anything in some of the photos.

The written text, however, is pretty clear and the proposed methods are all pretty solid and doable (with a considerable amount of practice). The package comes with everything you need to do the effect.

The written ad copy states that this could be done surrounded and performed naked. Interesting visuals aside, this claim is simply not entirely true. It cannot be performed surrounded, and in fact, the instructions say, "Be sure that the cap is concealed in the left hand in a natural position and that no one is directly behind you." Emphasis mine.

Last time I checked, "completely surrounded" included standing behind you. Also, the text at the end of the video clip leads one to believe that no assembly is required. This is also untrue.

So . . . even though the ad copy is misleading . . . even though the pictures are mostly not helpful . . . even though the packaging is ugly and not enticing at all, the method is legitimate. It's clever and the book gives you several variations . . . all of which are good doable methods (with a lot of practice).

Additionally, you get everything you need to do the effect. You could certainly do worse with your $20 bucks. If you like the effect, get this product. Due to, however, the poor production quality and misleading ad copy, I can't go any higher than 3 ish stars.

Final Verdict
3 Stars with a Stone Status of gem effect/method and rubble production quality
