Show a long hat-pin. Stick it right through your arm. The illusion of the needle piercing your flesh is perfect. There's even some blood to add to the realism. Remove the needle and you are totally unharmed. This one is not for the squeamish. While it does not harm you in any way, it may have an unsettling effect on your audience, if you catch my drift.
