Overview

Luka Kratsashvili Rubber Band Magic is a project by Skymember Presents. This project features quick and flourishy rubber band magic that looks absolutely beautiful and if you are a rubber band aficionado you may really enjoy this one. However, if you are looking for rubber band routines this release will not be for you.

Effect

Rubber bands appear, disappear, change color and melt through a deck of cards will be the items you will learn to perform with this download.

Method

The method for these effects are no different than any other rubber band magic. Methods like finger holdouts, twists, turns, knots and other form of digital manipulations are what is required to perform these tricks. There is a card gimmick provided to achieve one of the effects.

Product Quality

The download is 27 minutes long and teaches five tricks. The photography, lighting and angles are excellent. The video is dubbed in Chinese with English subtitles. The performances and explanations are done by Zach Ng. The pacing and the conveying of the setups are very clear and understandable despite the subtitles. Along with the download link you are provided with 20 high quality bands and a special card gimmick.

The ad copy is accurate and describes what is included.

Final Thoughts

The biggest issue I have with this release is that these are not routines as many of us would expect. The setup for each trick takes as much time if not longer than the trick itself. Most of these are quick openers because you would already have to be “prepared” before you show the trick and one you do, it is over in a second. If you want a nice flourish opener that would precede other rubber band tricks you may like this. If you are actually looking for routines, this release may not be for you.
