The prototype was even in Malaysia in 2018. There were professors at the conference lectures. Although it was enough at that time and could fool many people, it still caught some minor problems and imperfections... After these intermediate trials, TMA officially launched this final version of the impossible color card this year. Two years ... I spent two years delving into this process... Overview
You receive 10 cards, two sets of 5 matching colored cards - one for you and one for your Spectator. Each of you will shuffle your packets and through a series of different choices by your Spectator, your colored card will exactly match theirs. The Spectator can change their mind at any point and you will still match with their choice. This is a nice effect as shown in the trailer (with one exception), please read the rest of the review for more explanation. Also please note that this review is based upon the regular size cards not the jumbo.Effect
This is a card matching Mentalism routine where you and your Spectator will each have 5 matching colored cards. The Magician will miraculously predict and match each of the Spectators choices after each of you has shuffled when the cards are turned over they all match.Method
This effect works on a couple of simple and basic principles that you are already aware of. Once you know the two secrets involved, you could use playing cards in substitution for the cards you are provided with. However as we use mostly playing cards all the time, these colorful cards are a nice change.Product Quality
The cards you receive are not high quality like Bicycle cards that you are used to. It is a very low quality stock and very thin. It has a matte finish, no protective coating and they are difficult to handle as they tend to stick together in a block so be careful with them. Will you Spectator have a problem shuffling them - probably. Would some fanning power help - probably. Due to this low quality and much handling by your Spectators they may be easily bent and not have longevity you want.Ad Copy Integrity
The YouTube instructional video you get is not great, it is an overhead single shot tutorial. The quality of the video is good but as English is not Hank’s first language it sometimes very hard to follow. I had to replay it a number of times before ‘I got it’. You will learn four different routines but not all the one shown in the trailer where the Magician puts his card down first before the Spectator and it matches. This was kind of disappointing as I really thought that was amazing.Depending on which website you find to purchase this effect, it will not be very clear. A few that I found were very confusing as the one found in the description above. Yes, it is easy to carry (it’s a packet effect), it can be repeated immediately with no reset and it is interactive.
