A length of rope is cut into three unequal parts: long, medium and short. The ends of the ropes are held between both hands and the ropes are magically stretched out into the same size. Then the three pieces are knotted together forming a continuous rope. The rope is rolled up into a small packet. When the packet is unrolled, the rope is seen to be restored.
