If the following sentence means something to you, then you just might like this product:

It's important that your thumb always wreate, it's the ondulation that gives the illusion that the object is alive.

Don't worry . . . I didn't understand it either. Then I looked up the "word" "ondulation" which doesn't exist . . . so I tried "undulation." Now I really don't understand the above sentence. Unfortunately it's part of the instructions . . . The Instructions are in DVD format, but it's all printed text on the screen . . . French (I think) at the top and supposedly English at the bottom. The text will explain something, then flash to some video footage that helps to clarify the words.

Thank goodness for the video footage. It really helped. However, I must (yes . . . must) point out that there were a lot of extreme close up shots of somebody's hands . . . whoever it was looked like he had just dug a grave by hand right before the video shoot. His hands were filthy and beneath the fingernails . . . ewwwwww . . . nasty. Very tacky and unprofessional.

As for the effect and teaching . . . the teaching of the effect was actually pretty good (barring a few lost-in-translation moments like the above "ondulation" faux pas (see what I did there . . . French). So the bottom line is this: If you like the effect, you'll get your money's worth. However, in my opinion, the trick isn't that good. The basic method, to me, seemed pretty obvious. The effect doesn't look that magical . . . it looks like you have a card stuck to your thumb. Hmmmm.

In my opinion . . . this is a waste of money. I wouldn't buy it because the effect is not good. But the teaching of the effect (regardless of how good the effect is) is actually quite solid. There is a move or two that is taught that won't fool a fool, but you don't have to use those moves.

So again . . . watch the video trailer. If the effect is good in your opinion and you think your audiences will like it, then by all means . . . it wouldn't be the worst $18.00 bucks you've ever spent, but as for me and my house . . . 2 stars . . . Stone Status: Rubble.
