ZIG ZAG CARD is a SUPER VISUAL and easy to do magic trick!

EFFECT:

In this version, You attempt to perform the classic "Cutting a person in half" Illusion, However instead of using a real person, you use a playing card. The playing card is inspected by the audience and placed inside the "Cutting Box".
you slide the card all the way in the box so everyone can plainly see the entire card. Next you SLIDE THE MIDDLE OF THE CARD away from the top and bottom creating a ZIG ZAG CARD! Yours audience can place their finger in the empty space to prove there are no mirrors used! you then, slide the card out of the box and it is not in one sold piece again!
The card can be handed out and inspected!

Overview

Another great product in the Murphy's Magic Apprentice line of tricks designed for young magicians. Easy, fun and fooling for kids and adults alike.

This has a fun patter in which a card is cut in half and restored just like a woman that is sawed in half and restored.

Such a fun trick for a newbie!

Effect

See the ad copy below or the overview above. You take a card and put it in a magical plastic card holder and magically the card is cut into pieces, but restored in an instant.

Method

It's all about the gimmick. There is almost nothing for the performer to do except slide the card in and out of the red plastic card holder. I would say that this trick is almost foolproof and very fun to perform for any age. A 6 year-old could do this trick and so could a 50 years old. They will both enjoy it.

Product Quality

What an excellent gimmick and it is well make. The only thing I wish was different is that the card that comes with it could have been a rider back. It's a unique back so you can't force a card from a regular deck.

Overview

The Zig Zag Card by Apprentice Magic is another of one of their releases geared for the beginning magician. All the tricks in this series are simple, classic magic tricks that many experienced magicians have long been acquainted with. Once manufactured in brass and exotic woods, these classics are more seen nowadays in the plastic versions like the one offered here. Despite the materials the trick is made of, the effect is the same. And the effect relies more on the presentation than the object, and that’s where the magic lies.

Effect

The performer talks about one the world’s most famous stage illusions which is sawing a woman in half. He would like to recreate that moment for his spectators now, but of course in miniature. He takes out a small frame with windows in it. He then inserts a card into one side of the frame and moves into view under the windows. He then performs a magical gesture and slides the center of the card away leaving just the top third and bottom third. He then slides the center back, rejoins it with the rest of its parts and slides the entire card whole again out of the frame with any damage at all.

Method

Naturally the prop does all the work for you, which leaves you nothing but to focus on the delivery. Unless you know the secret behind the method, it is extremely hard to re-engineer. Don’t be fooled by the low cost of this product, it works just as good as the ones made out of more expensive materials.

Product Quality

The props are made of plastic but that shouldn’t deter someone from giving this a go. The “trick” is the ability to weave a good tale. In other cheap versions of this trick you would probably get typed instructions on a miniscule piece of paper that you may be able to understand. With The Zig Zag Card you will not only get the props but a downloadable video instruction featuring Javier Fuenmayor, Murphy’s Magic new spokesperson. Javier brings this trick to a new level. Ever excited and well spoken, Javier teaches you the routine and a premise to hang it on. Filmed on a beautiful set in High Definition, Javier brings what is needed most in magic; enthusiasm. This is well worth the purchase just to watch Javier.
