|You might want to read my review of Toony Angel. It will help you make sense of the few comments I have on this video. If you don't want to read the other review, then I'll just tell you my conclusion about Toony Angel: if you want to do this type of effect, buy one of the older, better versions (Card-Toon, Baby Face, Cardian Angel, etc.).
First you should know that the content of this video is basically Dan Harlan's Card-Toon Video with Mike Maxwell's stuff spliced onto the front of it.
Since Dan's video is a separate product, I won't bother reviewing that part here. Maybe some day I (or someone else) will review Dan's video. For now, suffice it to say that the Card-Toon portion of this video contains a lot of extra thoughts and handling for Dan's original effect (and can be applied to Toony Angel).
As for Maxwell's "contribution", it really isn't. My guess is that most magicians who buy Toony Angel will be able to learn the moves from the printed instructions and a couple day's worth of practice. The video really isn't necessary.
Maxwell performs the basic routine and explains the routine, as well as the "bonus" routine Red Rider. Then we're off into Card-Toon land.
My conclusion: If you own Toony Angel or Card-Toon and are either having problems learning it form the instructions or want some more ideas, just get Dan's Card-Toon Video.
