Electric Flying Cards

Powell, Dave

(Based on 1 review)
Imagine this. You hold a full deck of cards in your outstretched hand. At your command, the entire deck shoots into the air in a streaming fountain. It looks unbelievable. I love this item.

Dave Powell's Electric Flying Cards is a great way to do a card stab; it's the perfect finish to a card manipulation act. The last card in your hand can be the spectator's selected card, a great card revelation.

The tiny motorized gimmick (it measures only 1" x 2.") does the work for you. The gimmick is made of aluminum to last a lifetime and will fit in any hand. It can be used anytime, with no previous set-up and can be repeated immediately. You can do it with any deck.

The motor on this gimmick is not strong enough to throw the cards more than a foot or so in the air. Sometimes the cards will go a bit higher, but the gimmick will never be reliable enough for any kind of use in a show.

When I recieved my gimmick in the mail, it was in pieces; the glue holding it together had come undone. I fixed this, and then a couple of days later, the wheel that shoots the cards into the air came flying off the motor. Pretty shoddy gimmick.

It is, at least, of a higher quality than the last Dave Powell gimmick I ordered several years ago - his Newspaper Seance gimmick - possibly the poorest quality prop I have ever bought.

A motorized card deck fountain is a great idea, but I can't recommend this particular product at all.
