If you're a mentalist or magician that has a little experience under your belt, you should know that Omnilope is exactly what you think it might be. There are gimmicked envelopes that are more clever and less odd looking, so don't buy Omnilope for the envelope, buy it for the DVD. By the time you watch the hour-long video, you'll be convinced that Omnilope is versatile, practical, and useful. The depth and variety of thinking, not to overlook the enthusiasm, that Sankey demonstrates on the DVD is worth the price of admission.
Oh, to be sure, there are plenty of the "so what?" effects that Sankey has made infamous, but there are also great handling tips and plenty of inspiration throughout. All presented in a way that is more polished and entertaining than the vast majority of magic DVDs.
You'll get five or so envelopes that you must gimmick yourself, following Sankey's instructions. Don't panic, it's easy. I'm still a little skeptical about the unusual appearance of the envelopes, but it turns out they're commonly used by collectors and replacements are easy to find on the web. It will be up to you to justify and put Omnilope to good use, but Sankey has given you the raw materials. |
