If you could simply imagine a card routine and have it become real, the Cannabis effect would be it.

Any card, any number has long been the Holy Grail of magicians but this effect takes it to an entirely new level.

Cannabis stands for "Card At Named Number Amongst Blanks Is Selected" and that's exactly what happens. The only card in the entire deck with a printed back and face is their thought of a card and their thought of a number. Easy to do, ingenious method, with quick re-set version included for working situations this will instantly become a reputation making addition to your repertoire.

The Cannabis effect, it's hot and it rocks!

Comes with Bicycle deck gimmick, decorative tin container and instructional DVD.

Note: This DVD is PAL format. Playback maybe possible on many computer DVD-ROM drives, but NOT on NTSC television sets.

Ya gotta love potheads. The creators really went out of their way to get to the CANNABIS acronym. And the theme is continued throughout the DVD.

And, like a pot-induced rant, so goes the performance. Because we're combining the ACAN plot with a blank deck, it's not clear what the effect is supposed to be.

But the script is easy to fix. The effect, itself, is quite stunning... especially for magicians.

A few minor modifications to the procedure would make the whole thing a lot clearer. There are a couple of steps that must be performed to make the method work. I would simply choose to focus on some and downplay others, but not in the same way as presented on the DVD.

The method is relatively simple and requires only a couple of standard sleights. The deck takes care of most of the work.

Because the plot is so off-beat, I can't really compare this to other ACAN routines. It does have the nice feature that both the card and the number are simply named, no forcing... [Read More]
