Probably the most sensational illusion of all time. The effect has been shown by David Copperfield on T.V. and is now being featured by the world’s leading illusionists. A small base is seen along with a gleaming metal sword. The illusionists introduces his lovely assistant who is now lifted up and placed on top of the sword where she hangs limply apparently hypnotised. You will receive applause at this point as the suspension of the girl on the point of the sword looks impossible. Suddenly screams penetrate the room as the girl turns and is PIERCED RIGHT THROUGH HER BODY WITH THE SWORD. SHE IS IMPALED. The sword pierces the body by approximately 14 cm. The audience are really convinced that the girl has met her end and has genuinely been impaled on the sword. Now comes an amazing finale. The girl places her hands on the point of the sword and begins to pull herself upwards - her body is seen coming up the sword as the point of the sword goes down through her stomach. This happens with the performer nowhere near the illusion. As the sword point is seen to go back into her body, the performer lifts the girl off the sword and makes a few hypnotic passes in front of her eyes. To tremendous applause the girl awakes and is seen to be unharmed. SENSATIONAL STUFF - A REAL REPUTATION MAKER. With this new style design the mechanism is operated electronically by a small computer. Due to the height of the apparatus being only l.45m (without the sword 45 cm.), the performer is able to lift the assistant onto the sword without the help of anyone else. Other models of this illusion require two people to lift the girl onto the point of the sword due to the height of the equipment - with this model this problem has been overcome. The total weight of the illusion is approximately 75 kg. and it will fit onto the back seat of a car. The illusion operates on batteries and does not need any mains connection.
