This is the master feat of the rope manipulator's art and is presented as a sensational challenge feature or as a grand climax with which to close the entertainment. A committee of spectators is invited upon the stage and permitted to tie the performer in any way their imagination dictates with a piece of rope from 50 to 75 feet in length. The committee sets to work with a will and proceeds to bind him until his entire body is practically covered with rope. The audience always seems to take a keen interest in this tying and frequently stands up in the aisles to offer suggestions, so that there is not a dry moment during the time consumed in tying. Of course the performer releases himself and generally in much less time than was required to tie him.
Never before has a full and satisfactory explanation, or have detailed instructions for working this release been given in any publication, or any set of instructions sold. The feat is presented by only a very few so that it is by no means overworked.
