Let me start by saying there is some terrific material on thid video. Michael has an annoying presentation manner that doesn't do the material justice.

The other reason that I didn't rate this video higher is that Michael makes the tricks unnecessarily complicated. The best example is "The Frog Prince". This routine gets a very strong reaction. I do it in any intimate setting with both adults and children. Any experienced magician will realize that the sleights can be greatly simplified for greater ease and greater impact.

His written material is better. It is more magic for the buck and the descriptions are excellent and not seeing Michael doing the tricks make them more appealing.

Also the material varies widely in appeal. Some are or should be classics and others are mediocre, oversold rehashes.

The good stuff is so good that you will overlook the lesser stuff.
