A very minimal Bicycle rider back deck with only indices on the faces. No pips, no court characters. This is essentially the exact opposite of our "Faro Edition" Bicycle deck we created a few years ago.

Besides regular card us this is also an ideal deck for magicians to use for sign a card routines or for use as gaff cards.

Artists may use the blank canvas to draw their own designs and still have a playable deck.

When I saw this item to review I asked myself, why would anybody want playing cards with only indexes and no faces? Numerous times I passed over this and mused, what can one say about nearly blank cards? What can I possibly write about cards with just indexes and no faces? How can they be used and why? For months I dismissed them and said to myself, let someone else write a review on that. Well, here I am writing about playing cards that are mostly a white canvass with just an indexes in the corner and why write about them now?

Perusing my burgeoning book collection, I decided to take another look at books I previously breezed through, knowing I would probably would not perform 97% of what I read. I was feeling guilty for not giving these giants of magic, whom have written these incredible works, my undivided attention. This go around I said to myself, I will take my time, read and dissect what was written.

I started with The Books of Wonder by Tommy Wonder. As I turned to page 157 in Book 1, under the title The Pip-eating Spider was a picture of a playing card with, guess what…. only indexes in the corner and no face. It would the last image one would see if you saw Tommy Wonder perform his trick, The Pip-eating Spider.

So why would someone want a deck of cards with only indexes and no faces? Perhaps, if they are sitting on your desk you may occasionally glance at them and wonder, what can I do with these cards that have only indexes and no faces? Perhaps over time, eventually they will talk to you and send a subliminal message as to what you can do with blank cards with only indexes in the corner. Perhaps, you will create something no one else ever thought of, with just a blank card and only indexes in the corner, you never know, Tommy Wonder did.

Overview

The Bicycle Index Only deck of playing cards is a keeper. Very cool and minimalist with tons of ideas flowing through my head on how to handle these cards.

The tuck box has the words "INDEX ONLY" printed under the Bicycle Ace of Spades and other than that the box is a duplicate of any USPCC rider backs with the exception of the bottom of the box which has the Playing CardDecks.com logo.

These cards have no images other than the corner indices. No pictures or pips, just blank white card. It is very cool. You can keep as is or draw your own deck or use a single card to show how you can magically erase the pips or perhaps a King or Queen from the face of a card. In addition to the 52 standard cards, you also get two jokers which only have the corner Joker index. You get a standard double backer and a blank faced card as well.

Well, there is no effect to speak of because this is a deck of cards, but with this deck you have a blank canvas to create your own patter and routines. Vanishing pips anyone?

There is no method to this product, because, as stated above, this is a deck of cards. You make your own method with the tricks you will create....perhaps double lifting a single card to show an instant transformation.
