In 1979, Hans Zahn, from Newfoundland, Canada, had a vision. Home video recorders were still new, but realizing video was perfect for teaching magic, he formed magic's first video company - Videonics. Shortly afterwards, Hans called Michael Ammar, magic's current "wonder boy," asking him to fly to St. Johns for a filming session. The result is a fascinating, first ever recording of a future star of magic. Those familiar with Michael Ammar's current video projects will hardly recognize this young West Virginian, with his college haircut and his slow, laid back drawl. But you'll recognize his love of magic as he reveals the depth of thinking behind these beautifully constructed routines. These videos have been digitally remastered, to preserve the original, broadcast quality images. the performances are for a small audience of non - magicians. Everything is explained in complete detail, along with the theory and philosophy which backs up the techniques. This magic played a valuable role in Michael's repertoire, but much of it appears only on this video combination. Through the magic of video, you'll return to the beginning of the '80s, the beginning of Michael Ammar's career, and the earliest days of teaching magic on video. Flawless techniques, powerful magic, and commercial routines. During the teaching, you'll see close-ups, over-the-shoulder shots, and detailed descriptions of every technique theory. Michael's teaching style is conversational, clear, and complete. Most of this magic has never appeared on any other video. Magic with cards, coins, cups and bills, that is just as amazing today as it was then. Full routines that pack a punch are taught with complete detail, along with the philosophy that gives magic such fascinating depth. You'll be delighted by the diversity of this magic.
