Intimate Miracles

(Based on 4 reviews)
A spectator is asked to think of one card and then name that card. Let's say, the Seven of Hearts. You advise the spectator that you will remove from the deck his Seven of Hearts and the other three sevens as well. You place the deck face down on the table as you ask the spectator to take the four of a kind that you have removed and point to the card that they feel is theirs, without looking at the faces. You immediately show that the other three cards are blank. You then turn over the top two cards of the deck showing that the "jokers" are blank. You then turn over the next four cards showing the "Aces" to be blank. You then toss out the remaining cards face up in a flurry of all blank cards, a virtual blizzard of white face cards. Only one card remains face down. They are asked to turn it over to reveal the one card that they had freely named. Uses blue Bicycle cards.

The effect is fantastic. The method doesn't scare me at all. However, the "gimmick" that you get is worthless, in my view. In my opinion, it is very difficult to do the work using the included gimmick. As another poster mentioned, the gimmick is avaialble in another more rugged form - and I can't imagine attempting this without that other gimmick.

It's an amazing effect, but the The gimmick is right at the heart of it. Therefore, given the cheapness of the gimmick, I think the trick is overpriced. This is one of those instances where the gimmick should support the price.

This is a really wonderfull effect. I like the method very much. It lends itself to many other possibilities, ie. perform Out of this World with a shuffled deck! In my opinion, one of the best things I've seen in magic for a long time. The gimmick supplied can also be bought elsewhere in a more robust form (those who have it will know what I mean). Recommended.

Ok what the effect sez is true. You have a freely chosen card selected, (And it can be signed), then mixed with others and then every card but that one is blank. When I first discovered this at the magic shop I worked at I showed everyone. Just for the sake of amusing myself. It fools groups of 1-21 and above.

I even fooled my girl with it.. TWICE. (No she was not blonde.) I will be honest. I would not sell this to an amateur. You gotta have BAWLS of steel to actually even try this. It's so blatant, it's so great, you will do it just to do it.

The only downfalls are thus: You really have to have a table like surface. You also end up with a blank deck and can't do anymore tricks. (Well you can but you have to be insane.. or they do. Either way.)

All in all this is a great idea and you can use it for all sorts of stuff. It has fooled many of the greats and will fool you too. Buy it now or your life is forfeit.

When I first opened this trick and started reading the instructions, I was concerned I had just added to my "pile" of tricks I had bought that I'd never use. (That is why I really like this web site and will contribute freely to it!) However, as I worked through it and presented it a couple of times, I was amazed at how it stumped laymen and fellow magicians alike. There is a move during the presentation that is very bold. The instructions warn you that it is bold but also beg you to trust them and try it....and they are right! I've never been caught and the climax is EXACTLY how the description states: You have allowed the spectator to FREELY NAME ANY of the 52 cards and you end up with 51 blank cards in front of him along with his selected card. Everything can be examined at the end. It is every bit worth the $25.00.
