Overview
Contained is a specially crafted clear/see through container that looks like a pill container that permits you to make things appear, vanish and transpose. Its very excellent! Unfortunately it is discontinued and no longer available.Jay Sankey gives a shout to My Lovely Assistant Head Honcho Jeff Stone for helping in making this product come to life.
The gimmick was made especially for Sankey for us all to play with and it is invisible when in plain sight. The best part about Contained is that after the magic happens (depending on the routine) the container can be handed out. It cannot be handed out when the gimmick is in place.
The transpositions are great and Sankey teaches a routine where the container is held by the spectator on top of his head and the contents disappear which is an awesome routine.
Effect
As stated above and in the ad copy, objects appear, vanish, transpose or change. A dollar can turn into a ripped up dollar. Monopoly money can turn into real money. Card can be revealed. Sugar can turn into cubes. Lots of routines!Method
The Roy Keuppers gimmick is awesome and it makes the magic happen. After the gimmick has been taken out of play, the container can be thoroughly handled and examined.Product Quality
Excellent gimmick and a DVD with more than 40 minutes of instruction from Sankey. The creator filmed the instructions seated in a chair in his living room using a stationary camera. No added production value - just Jay!He also provides a link to his website www.insidedeception.com with images of cards, candy etc. that you can use in the routine.
Ad Copy Integrity
Some minor issues with the ad copy. First, although Sankey touts 16 effects, he does not demonstrate them all. There are way more than 16 effects that can be thought of. Second, the ad copy states "People can closely examine the capsule, and never discover the secret to the ingenious gimmick. And you never have to switch the bottle!" This infers that the spectator can inspect the container when the gimmick is in place. They cannot and the container can only be inspected after the gimmick has been taken out of play.The ad copy states:
