A small Samurai Sword is pushed completely through the sides of a plastic tube. The inside of the tube is shown. The sword can be seen going right through the tube. You can even have a spectator feel the sword. It is absolutely solid. A transparent red-orange ball with a polished hole is dropped into the top of the tube. Of course, the sword prevents the ball from falling through the tube. Turn the tube upside down. The ball remains inside the tube. Let them look inside the tube. The sword is now through the hole in the ball. Somehow the ball has penetrated onto the sword. Separate the tube into two smaller tubes and show them that the sword is in fact right through the ball. They can remove the ball and sword from the tube and thoroughly examine everything.
