Overview

WHAT YOU GET

You get a DVD of five different production methods, five different moves, and five routines.

WHAT IS COOL

There are some REALLY good moves in this DVD. This DVD is more about moves, productions, and short routines that highlight the moves. I think this DVD would be great for someone who already has some good routines they like to perform, but want to add some moves to them. My personal favorites from this DVD are the Popeye and Headshot moves and the Rubberband production.

THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY

It is obvious that this young man has spent a lot of time creating and practicing moves and productions. They are very visual and super cool.

This is not a great DVD for commercial routines. This is more of a DVD where you might take a cool move and apply it to your commercial routines. Personally, I have focused more on creating entertaining premises and routines than on fancy moves. However, I am definitely going to work on some of the moves and productions he covers in this DVD to spice up my magic.

AT A GLANCE

Skill level required: 5 of 5. These are going to take some practice. They aren’t all knuckle busters, but they will all take practice.
Audience management skill required: 3 of 5.
Performance angles: 360 degrees
Reset time required: You can reset in front of your audience.
DIY time involved in advance: None.

Effect

There are five routines on the DVD, but the routines are really just short routines designed to highlight the moves and productions. I wouldn’t purchase this DVD for the routines. This is a DVD you might be interested in if you want to add moves and productions to better routines.

Method

The methods taught are, in my opinion, VERY GOOD. These are the sort of things that you are going to spend a bit of time perfecting, but if you find a move or production on this DVD that catches your attention, after some practice, you can master it. Personally, I have been working with three of the moves/productions and I plan on incorporating some of them into my routines.

Product Quality

The product quality is just fine. It is simple and it was not shot with live performances, perhaps this is just a kid who spends a LOT of time in his room working out great moves and productions, I am OK with that. He has created some really cool stuff and the video is adequate to learn what he has created.

Ad Copy Integrity

The ad is completely straight forward. It talks about this talented young magician who has a handful of clever moves, productions, and routines. That is exactly what this DVD is.

Final Thoughts

This is not a great DVD for the purpose of getting really commercial routines to perform. However, this is a GREAT DVD for the purpose of learning some really cool moves and productions. Personally, I am going to work on incorporating some of these moves into my magic.

I gave this 4.5 stars because the video production quality wasn't great and there were no live performances, but I don't think that takes away too much from a DVD with some GREAT moves.

Suggestions

But this DVD if you want to integrate some really cool moves into your magic routines.
