A length of red rope is placed into a cone, formed using a double page of newspaper. The bottom of the cone is torn off and one end of the rope is pulled through the opening. Then, three single knots, two red and one blue, are dropped one by one into the cone. Each time a part of the rope is pulled out of the cone, a knot appears tied in the rope. To finish, the rope is completely withdrawn from the cone and three genuine knots are seen in it. When the knots are untied, the blue knot is seen to be a part of the red rope. Finally, the cone is unwrapped and shown empty. Just a large hole can be seen in the middle of the newspaper.
