You stick a single sticky note onto a card or card case...scribble something on the sticky note...and the scribble INSTANTLY AND VISIBLY transforms into a spectator's name...or the name of a card...or ANY prepared image that you like! This is going to tricky. On one level, this is like the holy grail for me. On another, I'm disappointed.
I was hoping that the product description said more about the gimmick that you're taught to make on the DVD. It doesn't, so I can't spill the beans here.
The gimmick you're taught to make on this DVD is priceless. In fact, it's a whole new way of creating a very old gimmick (and one that I've been trying to figure out how to make for over a decade). For that reason alone, I want to give this a five-star rating. Trust me, this secret is absolutely worth the price of the DVD.
But I have two problems with the product, as it is supplied.
The first is that the effects taught are far from the best of what can be performed with this gimmick. Most of them are visual in nature and, in my opinion, almost give away what's going on. I suppose this could just be the producer jumping on the bandwagon of "eye-popping" magic that everyone seems to want these days.
Second, you're going to need a lot of supplies that are not included with the product. This is a very arts-and-crafts-heavy project. You might have some of the required tools sitting around, but some of the other materials are going to take some work to find. I had to order one of the main ingredients online after quite an extensive search.
I’m not suggesting that the producers need to include all of the supplies. That would probably be cost- or labor-prohibitive. But I wish there were some sort of "some assembly and tools required" note in the promotional materials. It just feels irresponsible to me.
All that aside, I still think it's worth the $35 just to get the information off this DVD.
