This DVD is the ‘sequel’ to the L**PS DVDs. This covers general IT work along with some details left out of Volumes One and Two. While those discs had some problems, and this disc has a brand new set of issues.

For starters, the DVD cover states the length of the DVD is ‘approximately’ sixty minutes. The exact run time is thirty-seven minutes and thirty-seven seconds. Oh, wait. There is also a four-second Blooper and a quick trailer for the first two volumes. If there wasn’t a sliver of good information on here, I would give it only half a star for this reason alone.

The main subject of the DVD is about how to avoid the reflection made by IT. There is some worthwhile advice on here, and some good effects. However, the explanations aren’t always as in-depth as they should be.

For example, Yigal Mesika teaches his Boomerang Card effect. A visually stunning effect where a card flies out of the deck and boomerangs back to you. He explains the hookup for the elastic IT, but does not teach us how to shoot a card out of the deck. A sleight critical for the effect. Maybe he forgot to teach us the move. However, he does remember to tell us, “About ten years ago, I came up with an incredible idea.” Again, THIS is the quality information you are getting for your money.

Finn Jon does offer some worthwhile comments about how to work with IT in different conditions. He also manages to compliment Mesika by saying how amazed he was by the Spinning Fork on Volume Two. How is this useful information on this DVD that we had to pay extra for? It has little to do with the general theme of the DVD, and gives us no useful information. Plus, he already complimented Mesika on this effect on Volume Two, so why do we need to hear it again?

Amidst these guys constantly complimenting each other, there is some useful information from both these men. However, I don’t think it’s worthy of the thirty dollar price tag. If you already have the L**PS DVDs, or already work with IT of any kind, you may get some useful information out of it. In my opinion, thirty bucks is too much for this forty minute DVD.
