Grandma's Miracle

TCC Presents

(Based on 1 review)
Grandmother's Necklace is a classic magic trick that has fascinated audiences for over 400 years, dating back to the Middle Ages.

The magician presents two ropes and three beads, inviting the audience to thread the ropes through the beads. The audience holds the beads, the magician ties the ropes on the back of their hand, and the ropes pass through the audience's hand amazingly, leaving the beads in their palm.

In this version, we use highly transparent crystal beads instead of traditional opaque beads. The transparent beads allow the audience to see every detail of the ropes threaded through them, making the trick more convincing and deceptive.

Overview

In 1584, Reginald Scot wrote of a trick in the Discoverie of Witchcraft.. “in which to pull three beadstones from off a cord, while you hold fast the ends thereof, without removing of your hand”. This trick described almost 440 years ago ultimately has become to be known as Grandma’s Necklace. Although over the centuries it has had other names, the trick had two major flaws which were, it had to be prepared ahead of time and could not be repeated. It wasn’t until the late Dean Dill thought of a way to overcome these issues. After Dill’s passing his “Grandma’s Necklace” became unavailable. Now, TCC Presents “Grandma’s Miracle” which now has surpassed even Dean Dill’s version.

Effect

The performer shows two cords and three clear plastic beads. All objects can be individually inspected. The performer pushes the two cords through the hole of the bead and centers it. The spectators are invited to put the other two beads on the cords. The beads and cord are now placed in a spectator’s hand and after they turn their hand over, an overhand knot is tied on the closed fist. The performer now takes two ends of the cord and briskly pulls which causes the cords to pass through the beads and closed fist.

Method

The method utilizes two gimmicked cords. Although they are gimmicked they can me individually inspected. The beads are ordinary clear plastic beads. The most difficult part of the trick is placing the first bead onto the cords. After that the trick is self-working.

Product Quality

True to form, TCC has really excelled in producing this one. “Grandma’s Miracle” is probably the ultimate version of this trick for a couple of reasons. The cords used are made of a fleece like material. Because of the nature of fleece, when two loops of the cords are pushed together the shape of the cords are obscured. The clear beads enhance the illusion because one can see through the beads and it appears that nothing is amiss. The quality of the cords, construction and the clear plastic beads are excellent. The tutorial is near eight minutes long and covers the basic handling and presentation of the trick. The lighting, sound and photography are excellent as well. You will have to develop your own back story if desired.

Ad Copy Integrity

All of TCC Presents products are very honestly presented. The quality of their products are always superb and have never undelivered.

Final Thoughts

“Grandma’s Miracle” is an excellent walk around piece that anyone can do. It baffles all who see it and is a great value for what it delivers.
